Volume I Book Order Form
                           NOTES FROM NORMA

Thank goodness all the material for the Greene County Histories and Families Volume II has been mailed.  Some stories have been returned for proofreading.  Hopefully, we will have the book back by October, if not before. You have until June 1st to order Volume II books at $57.95.  After that date, they will be $68.00.

We do have Volume I reprints for $60.00.  Volume II will be a companion to Volume I.
We are thinking about having some genealogy mini courses this summer.  We need feedback on this.  If you or anyone you know is interested, please contact us at 240-8944.
After we have a few days to relax, we do have a few projects in mind to start.
We are selling polo shirts for $20.00.  They are hunter green and have our logo on front in gold.  If you are interested, please contact us at 240-8944.
I have gone back to working on files and right now we are focusing on veterans.  We solicit information on all veterans – service records, biographies, photos or whatever you have.  In particular, we are zeroing in on World War II
Veterans as we are losing them daily.  Lets get the information while we can.
Thanks to everyone who contributed and/or worked on the Volume II book.  Your help was appreciated very much.

QUERY

Does anyone have an old picture of the old horse trough sitting in front of the Gainesville Courthouse?  According to Robert Harris, museum committee member, the old trough was built in 1878 for the county courthouse in Gainesville.  We are seeking a picture to document this.
                           QUERY
The  location of the picture in the April, 2008 newsletter has been identified per Bob Branch as the north door of the old Court House.  Can you identify any of the people in the photo?
